About The Founder
The school's founder, Brian Robinson, has over three decades of pastoral experience, twenty years of cross-cultural missions experience and years of formal (and informal) educational training. Pastor Brian is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts and is on course to complete his PhD in Intercultural Studies at Columbia International University in South Carolina.
Pastor Brian believes that quality education is more than having a good curriculum--as important as having this might be. He is convinced that achieving the most favorable learning outcomes begins with the experience, qualifications and the quality of lives of the instructors. RILIS, the founder believes, provides these. An awesome curriculum and some of the finest instructors in God's church.
We exist to be the best we can be in offering a great biblical education, and mission and leadership training. The goal for our school is to prepare students to serve faithfully and confidentially in their local churches and within their communities. Secondly, to mobilize, prepare and send forth a new generation of cross-cultural ministers who'll have a heart for all nations! Following the biblical missional theme first revealed to Abraham, "All Nations of the earth be Blessed through you!" (Gen.22:18)
Raising up Servant Leaders
George Washington Carver once stated: “It is not the style of clothes one wears, neither the kind of automobile one drives, nor the amount of money one has in the bank, that counts. These mean nothing. It is simply service that measures success.”
Too often success is equated with wealth, status or position. While Jesus' goal through discipleship was by developing leaders with a heart and attitude like His own--serving without seeking to be served (Luke 22:27).
